The Iron Pineapple
04/04/26 When I was young, I had a paperback anthology of short horror stories. They were mostly your standard poltergeist/haunted house/vampire type stories, but there was one called "The Iron Pineapple" which has always stuck with me. It seemed so out of context compared to the rest of them.
It's a short story about a man who becomes obsessed with...you guessed it...an iron pineapple. I searched for it online and found a PDF version which can be found below.
From what I've found online, it was written in 1926 (happy 100th birthday, iron pineapple) by an author called Eden Phillpotts, and published as part of a collection of short stories.
